Farah Zakaria was born in Amman-Jordan on the 3rd of March, 1999.

Her passion to the car racing began at a very young age.  At just two she closely watched the action when she accompanied her dad (Khaled Zakaria) as he participated in the Jordanian karting championship races.  Farah also watched as her dad celebrates his pinnacle achievement on 2001 when he won the Jordan’s Rally championship along side the renowned Mohammad Ben Salim.

Farah continued to follow motor  racing with her dad until 2003; and since then Farah has put her own foot on the pedal.  In 2004 Farah got her first battery-operated car.  Farah was quick to learn how to drive her car and to learn how the different parts of her car worked and operated together.

Driven by her passion in 2006, then at the age of seven, Farah asked her dad to buy her the special KART.  However, her dad was hesitant because of her age and so decided to take her to the race track hoping to convince her that she is still too young.  Given her age and her height, the track manager initially refused initially to let Farah on the tracks.

However, with her persistence he agreed to let her in, on under the condition that would have a remote control of the kart.  With lots of cushioning Farah was able to reach the pedals.  It took only one lap for Farah to impress the track manager.  He was surprised by her precision and ability to control the car, and he was further impressed by the time she recorded on her first lap.  Farah's quality of driving convinced the manager to allow her to have full control of the car and the speed.  Thus, instead of continuing to try and convince Farah that she was too young for the sport, her dad gave in and bought her her first  kart on her birthday in March, 2006.

Farah’s first kart had 3-horse power engine, but nevertheless, she seized every opportunity to practice with her two sisters (Aya and Bayan) who both already had their 10-horse power KARTS and were into the same sport.  It was not long before Farah’s dad took notice of her driving abilities and of her ability to over her two sisters who were driving on better-powered KARTS.

Showing more potential and having more time than her two older sisters (who were busy with school and Basket Ball), Farah’s dad decided to focus more on her and by November of 2006 Farah participated in her first official kart race in Jordan. Farah won the race and was the first ever child driver in Jordan to do so.

Farah went home with the well-earned trophy which was graciously handed to her by his royal highness prince Faisal Bin Al-Hussein. Farah was encouraged by her achievement, and so were many children in her age group especially when their families watched Farah.  This prompted the addition of 12 special karts to the tracks for children below the age of 11.  However , Farah continues to be the only girl on those tracks.

In March 2007, Farah earned her first brand new TONY kart with an 8.5-horse power engine and she continued to practice coached by her dad. In June, 2007, Farah participated in the country’s first officially-organized race for her age category.  Unfortunately, Farah faced car trouble and finished fourth.  Farah quickly learned that good results do not only require good driving, but also good maintenance of the car and thus started to accompany her dad whenever he was maintaining her car.

By the end of 2007, Farah had participated in 7 races and her season high was in her second official race where she recorded the best time in the qualifying session; which gave her an advantage, starting the race in pole position and then finishing it in second place in overall in the finals. Farah continues to be the youngest driver in her category.  Altogether, Farah participated in seven races in 2007, finishing the podium in six of them.  The table below shows her achievements.
